Kara Andrew, RDN, LDN, is the director of nutrition and exercise science services for Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Illinois. She earned her master's degree in exercise and nutrition science from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. Her experience includes personal training, teaching for ACSM, sports nutrition, weight management, long-term care, and dialysis.
Kara believes strongly in living her values, which includes serving those around her. Kara was a board member of the Nashville Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics from 2016 to 2021. She served as website coordinator, president-elect, president, and past-president.
Kara believes in progression and empowering individuals. This has led her to become certified in lifestyle medicine by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. She strives to provide evidence-based education to equip patients with the tools required to make changes towards health and well-being.
